Are you nervous about returning to in-clinic appointments or hands-on therapy? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Whilst it has now been 5 months since we reopened our doors for physiotherapy and massage treatments, we understand some that clients still have hesitations about returning to hands-on therapy.
With the current situation as fluid as ever, understandably many people will still feel apprehensive regarding the risks of trying to return to a sense normality. As a healthcare business, our primary objective is always the safety and wellbeing of our clients. Let us put your mind at ease.
Slight changes, great results, same great service
Since reopening our doors for appointments, we have successfully delivered over 1500 face-to-face appointments with zero close contact cases. It’s amazing for us Physiotherapists to be able to continue doing what we love during times like these. It’s also important for our clients that they still have access to hands-on treatments to ensure their recovery journey stays on track.
Due to the nature of the services we provide, we are often in very close in proximity to our clients when using manual therapy, assessing joints and supervising exercises. We have always been busy with clients coming and going but please don’t worry, back in June we made some changes to the way we work to ensure we are Covid safe. The good news is that although things may look and feel a little different from before, the quality of what we do and the treatment we provide has not and will not change. After all, it’s still the same friendly face behind the mask.
So, if you are a new client looking for a Physiotherapy appointment or someone returning for the first time in a while, here are the changes you may notice on your next visit…
When arriving at our Carryduff Physiotherapy Clinic, we politely request that you wear a face covering when entering the clinic and for the duration of your appointment.
At your first appointment, you will be asked to complete a Covid-19 screening form. This allows us to employ a track and trace system, ensuring we can contact all clients should the worst occur.
Between appointments all our equipment is cleaned down with the required cleaning agent. Additionally, appointments are now staggered to allow time for extra cleaning to take place and to ensure there is no congestion in the clinic.
Our physiotherapists wear the required PPE when treating and assessing clients.
This includes single-use gloves and apron, medical-grade mask, face guard or eye protection.
This equipment is disposed of after each appointment.
There is no compromise in the quality of our service and sessions will continue to involve hands on treatment/assessment as required.
We have had our clinic open since June and we have now got used to the “new way” of working. Ultimately for the therapists our job has not changed. It is great to be able to see our clients face to face again and to be able to talk in person.
We have even got used to working whilst wearing the PPE which presents its own challenges!
So, on your next visit feel safe in knowing that we are here to help, and no safety aspects will be compromised when providing you with the best possible treatment.
The same smiley faces will be here to greet you on your arrival, you just need to focus on the eyes!
